The Royal Standard is a traditional pub recently refurbished in a contemporary style with stripped floorboards, oak bar, open fire and individual wooden tables and chairs. With a decked front seating area, a beer garden to the rear and excellent water views, the Royal Standard has many great reviews from our guests – a recent guest commented that the fish & chips was better than Rick Steins! The pub offers a range of fine wines, cask conditioned ales, plus coffee and homemade cakes. A constantly changing menu provides a variety of fresh meals with locally sourced ingredients plus regular curry nights and Sunday roasts. Booking is essential in Summer. Well behaved dogs are welcome.

The Waterside is a welcome new addition to the Flushing restaurant scene, situated on the quay with spectacular views across the bay towards Falmouth. Come and enjoy fresh local fish and shellfish accompanied by fine wine. Paul and John aim to support local businesses and fisheries, presenting their customers with freshly landed fish and local produce… simply prepared and presented to you with the experience of courteous staff at an affordable price. The Waterside has changing daily menu’s depending on the days catch. It welcomes dogs and has free WiFi. We have had great feedback from our previous guests – some saying that this was one of the “best meals they have ever had”. Booking recommended, particularly for the Sunday roast which is quickly gaining an amazing reputation!

The Seven Stars fronts the quayside with lovely waterside views out towards Falmouth Harbour. The Seven Stars is mainly inhabited by locals and fishermen who appreciate the cask conditioned ales and traditional pub food. Busy in the evenings, the views of the River Fal cannot be beaten. Watch out for Pie nights, Fish and Chips nights, and the excellent Pizza nights as well as Quiz evenings and many special events. Crab lines and bait are for hire to entertain the kids while the adults enjoy a drink. You can also borrow a cushion to sit on the sea wall - the ideal place from which to watch the sun set over Falmouth harbour.

Plenty of options adorn the large chalkboard at Castaways, situated in Mylor Yacht Harbour a short (and very beautiful) walk around the headland from Flushing village. Castaways serves food all day, from early breakfast and coffee, lunch, through to tapas, and evening meals – even cream teas! This is also a perfect spot to enjoy a variety of Cornish ice creams. Evening meals and specials have strong local sourcing, which ensures the best Cornish food is always on the menu. Castaways is ideal for large groups, and is well behaved dogs are welcome.

The Pandora Inn

Damaged by fire in 2011 The Pandora Inn has now re-opened. The inn has been carefully renovated to retain the flagstone floors, low-beamed ceilings and thatched roof. Situated right on Restronguet Creek, there are plenty of outdoor tables on the pontoon (also useful for those arriving by boat!) Food is served all day using the freshest, local seasonal produce and caters for all appetites from sandwiches and jacket potatoes to changing daily specials. There's an extensive wine list and traditional real ales from St Austell Brewery. Dogs are welcome in the bar area and on the pontoon.

This spacious modern bar serves food and drinks all day and is just a few minutes walk from the centre of the Cornish town of Falmouth, opposite Events Square – home of the world famous National Maritime Museum. There are plenty of parking options nearby, so you will never have too far to walk! 5 Degrees West is a very family friendly pub that serves a wide menu suitable for all kinds of dining from the smaller ‘lite bites’ through ‘sharing platters’ right up to the more traditional main meal. Generally there is no need to book, except for the usual popular dates when it is advisable to do so.
