Just yards away from the water’s edge and enjoying what is said to be the mildest climate in the country, Kittiwake is a delightful, newly refurbished cottage. Set in the heart of Flushing, it is within walking distance of the village shop and a stone’s throw away from two lovely pubs and a quayside café.

Kittiwake is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment, and when completed it will be a luxurious 3 bedroom holiday home sleeping 6 in complete comfort. The décor and colours have been carefully chosen and are designed to bring the outside in, as coastal and nautical influenced soft furnishings, lighting, furniture and accessories all work together to make for a restful and relaxing holiday.

With a light and airy feel as you walk through the door, the generous slate tiled hallway leads you into a large open plan lounge and dining area. Painted floorboards give a relaxing weathered effect and a mixture of modern pieces and beautiful antiques provide the perfect living space with luxuries such as a log burning stove, original paintings by local artists, and a flat screen tv with Sky+ and a Nintendo Wii. Complimentary WiFi also is available for guests to keep in touch with work or friends and family while they are away from home.

The newly fitted kitchen sits at the rear of the property and is bright and modern. It offers an integrated fridge and freezer, a dishwasher, a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a table and four chairs and French doors lead out to a pretty decked courtyard garden with a seating area for alfresco dining. There is a side gate and an out-house which provides washing and drying facilities for wetsuits and beach gear.

The master bedroom is a spectacular new addition to the house and has a stunning vaulted ceiling. Tongue and groove timber cladding give it an idyllic beach hut feel, with distant views across the village rooftops to Falmouth harbour. It has a king-sized bed, built-in wardrobes, ample storage space and a luxury en-suite bathroom with under-floor heating and heated towel rail.

The second bedroom is a large light and airy room, and offers twin single beds and a large chest of drawers. Again the views are to the rear of the property. The third bedroom is also a good size, and again offers twin single beds. It has a large built in wardrobe with drawers.

The newly fitted family bathroom has a large bath and a separate high quality corner shower, under floor heating and a heated towel rail. There is further storage and drying space on the landing outside the bathroom.

Luxurious bedding, towels and bed linen are provided, and for those with young children there is a travel cot and high chair at the cottage.
