Riverside is a very special waterside home built on land reclaimed by Dutch engineers and seafarers in the 18th Century in the beautiful and historic village of Flushing. Fully refurbished to luxury standards, this beautiful retreat has everything you could possibly wish for to make your holiday unforgettable.
Riverside is filled with light, and its large bright rooms have a contemporary, peaceful feel whilst still keeping its old character.
You enter through the front door into a small lobby, perfect for leaving coats and muddy boots. The generous hall leads into a large open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room with bleached wood flooring. The new white kitchen is fully equipped with a large range of storage cabinets, and built-in appliances including dishwasher, microwave and a fan assisted oven. There is a washing machine and separate tumble drier tucked away in the airing cupboard. For dining there is a large oak table that seats six in comfort.
The sitting room is furnished with a lovely sofa and stylish chairs and a splendid modern wood burning stove which is perfect for holidays in the colder months, especially Christmas and New Year.
Following the passage around from the old sitting room you come into the new sitting room, This marvellous room with a vaulted ceiling, skylights and doors on both sides out leading out into the garden with glorious views across the river. It is furnished with two sumptuous sofas, a flat screen television, DVD player and there is a small library of books and DVDs in the house. Complimentary use of high-speed wireless broadband is also included.
The garden has luxurious planting on both sides leading to the sea wall with steps down to the river, and has two seating / dining areas for summer dining and is the perfect place to enjoy a drink with the sun setting over the river.
There is also a shower room on the ground floor, fitted out in sleek white tiles, with a power shower, chrome fittings and full under floor heating.
Upstairs, bedroom one has twin beds and looks out to the front of the house, whilst bedroom two has a king size zipped and linked double bed with a Juliet balcony opening out to uninterrupted views alone the river. This bedroom also has the advantage of a small seating area with two chairs and its own television.
The main family bathroom is spacious and fitted out in lustrous white and black tiling, chrome fittings and has a deep stand alone bath for those long soaks, as well as a power shower and under floor heating.
The next floor has a spectacular new loft bedroom with amazing views out across and along the river. It has twin beds, television and a separate luxury en-suite shower room with bright white tiles, with a power shower, chrome fittings and full under floor heating.
Quality towels and bed linen are provided throughout and each bedroom also has a hair dryer and a Roberts DAB clock/radio.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome.
Riverside has the rare advantage in Flushing of its own parking space on the quayside.
The house is situated in the heart of the village, the village store, pubs, popular local restaurant and the daily ferry across to Falmouth are on the doorstep. There are numerous sailing opportunities in the locality, and the house has its own out-haul.
