Originally part of an old chapel and later turned into a quaint terrace of four similar houses in the beautiful waterside village of Flushing. When planning the renovations we set out to create something special, a real luxury home from home with everything you could possibly wish for to make your holiday very special indeed.
The Blue House has a real contemporary seaside feel to it and has a sailing theme throughout.
You enter through the front door into a generous hall with Cornish slate flooring. The open plan lounge / diner has polished wood floors and a stone fireplace with wood-burning stove. It is equipped with two huge sofas and has a flat-screen LCD TV with SKY Plus. There is a DVD Player and a Sony PlayStation 3. The extending oak dining table has leather chairs and seats 6 in comfort.
There are many works by local artists and antique model sailing boats strategically placed throughout the property.
The modern spacious kitchen is a fantastic space, with vaulted ceilings, glass skylights and a Cornish slate floor. It has been fully fitted with granite worktops, quality cabinets, and built-in appliances including dishwasher and washing-dryer. There is also an additional table and chairs ideal for breakfast.
To the rear of the kitchen is a cosy courtyard. This is a real sun-trap and has a Mediterranean feel, with slate floor, bamboo screening, lush planting and a table and chairs for al fresco dining.
Upstairs, the luxury bathroom has a Cornish slate floor, white tiles and chrome fittings. There is a deep bath with shower attachment, and a WC.
Quality towels and soaps are provided.
Bedroom one is a comfortable king-sized double room looking out to the front of the property with distant water views, whilst the second bedroom with twin beds looks onto the garden at the rear.
The top floor boasts a spectacular loft bedroom with twin beds and a separate luxury en-suite shower room with Cornish slate floor, white tiles and chrome fittings. There are amazing distant views across the rooftops to Falmouth harbour.
Quality bed linen is provided throughout.
For those with young children there is a travel cot and high chair at the cottage.
The complimentary use of high-speed wireless broadband is included. There is also a comprehensive book and DVD library for guests.
