The Green House was our very first Cornish holiday home. We first fell in love with the cosy lounge, pretty garden and spacious bathroom, and then we updated this old fisherman’s cottage from top to bottom.
Our aim was to create something special, a real luxury home from home with everything you could wish for to make your holiday very special. It has been decorated with a contemporary twist whilst still retaining it’s centuries old character. There are works by local artists and
We refurbished it to an exceptionally high standard using local materials and top-quality fittings and furnishings, including a new central heating and hot water system.
You enter through the front door into a hall with Cornish slate flooring. The lounge is furnished with a leather sofa and stylish armchairs, and it benefits from a flat-screen LCD TV with SKY Plus, a DVD Player, a Sony PlayStation and a Fire Belly wood-burning stove to keep you warm on those chilly evenings.
The character dining room has an oak table and leather dining chairs seating 6 in comfort, and leads through into the modern kitchen. This has everything you will need during your stay, with a halogen hob, double fan-assisted oven and dishwasher. From the kitchen a utility area houses a washer-dryer, and there is also a separate WC.
From the kitchen a small courtyard leads up to the feature garden. This is very private and has a tropical feel with lush planting and decked areas. There are sunloungers, a hammock, and a table and chairs for al-fresco dining and evening drinks.
Upstairs, the luxury bathroom features a heated slate floor, deep bath, large separate high-powered shower and WC. Quality towels and soaps are provided.
The master bedroom looks out to the front of the property and has a king sized bed as well as plenty of storage space. The second bedroom is also a double with a large wardrobe. It looks onto the garden at the rear. The third bedroom has a nautical feel with white bunk beds and Laura Ashley fabrics and furnishings. Quality bed linen is provided throughout.
For those with young children we provide a travel cot plus high chair.
Well-behaved dogs are also welcome.
The complimentary use of high-speed wireless broadband is included.
