Located in the heart of Falmouth, Number 1 The Pier boasts mesmerising panoramic sea views across Falmouth Bay, from Flushing to the Harbour and onwards out to the Roseland Peninsula.

The Old King’s Hotel site is a famous landmark in Falmouth. Originally a coaching inn, The ‘Commins Kings Arms’ was demolished for the more salubrious Kings Hotel, which was one of the areas most regarded hostelries in Falmouth. It was rebuilt following a fire in the early 1980’s to replicate the attractive facade.

The large space dates from that period and benefit from interesting aspects of Falmouth Harbour and open town perspectives. Number 1 is the largest of this exciting project to bring the building back to life as high-quality apartments, making this a stunning waterside holiday home that is tucked away yet located right on the Prince of Wales Pier in the heart of Falmouth.

Number 1 The Pier has a large outdoor terrace complete with rattan furniture – the perfect place to enjoy some sunshine and watch boats of all sizes navigate the River Fal. With secure reserved parking and access to the property via a feature glass lift, this brand new luxury 2 bedroom duplex home has a variety of shops and restaurants minutes away and is also well placed to explore all of Cornwall.

Number 1 The Pier has a spectacular double-height open plan lounge – kitchen – diner with huge windows from which to enjoy the views. The well-equipped kitchen has everything that you could possibly need to self-cater, and includes fridge, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Doors open out from the living area onto the rooftop terrace. There is a huge flat-screen 3D TV with BluRay player and surround sound, satellite reception and an X Box – although it is unlikely that anything it shows will be able to compete with the views from the window! The whole house benefits from engineered wooden floors with efficient central heating.

There are two comfortable bedrooms on the top floor. The master bedroom has a king-sized double bed and benefits from a spa-like en-suite bathroom with large power-shower enclosure. The second bedroom has twin single beds, while the family bathroom is fitted with a deep bath and a power shower. Both bedrooms enjoy interesting views across Falmouth town.

Falmouth is renowned as one of the world’s great water sporting centres, boasting some of Europe’s best regarded sailing waters with its hidden coves and sheltered estuaries. This historical town presents a fascinating mix of charming individual boutiques and well-known chains and high street names.

It naturally has a reputation for its fresh seafood taken full advantage of by the many cafés and restaurants, offering worldwide cuisine and traditional local food. Events Square and The National Maritime Museum are within easy walking distance and boats to Flushing and St Mawes run regularly from the Pier itself.
