The Green House was completely refurbished last year to an exceptionally high standard using local materials and top-quality fittings and furnishings. Unfortunately many Cornish holiday cottages fail to impress. They are furnished with charity shop furniture, they have antiquated heating and hot water systems, delapidated bathrooms and kitchens, and are lacking in modern appliances. We set out to create something special, a real luxury home from home with everything you could wish for to make your holiday very special. Enter through the front door into a hall with slate flooring. The lounge is equipped with leather sofa, stylish arm chairs, flat-screen LCD TV with SKY Plus, DVD Player, Playstation and wood-burning stove. A character dining room leads into the newly fitted kitchen which includes dishwasher. To the rear of the kitchen is a utility area with washer/dryer and separate WC. From the kitchen a small courtyard leads up to the feature garden. This is very private and has a tropical feel with lush planting, outdoor lighting and decked areas with sunloungers, hammock, and a table and chairs for al-fresco dining and evening drinks. Upstairs, the luxury bathroom features a heated slate floor, deep bath, large separate high-powered shower and WC. Quality towels and soaps are provided. The master bedroom looks out to the front of the property whilst the second looks onto the garden at the rear. Both feature comfortable double beds. The third bedroom has a nautical feel with white bunk-beds and Laura Ashley fabrics and furnishings. Quality bedding is provided. For those with young children there is a cot and high chair at the cottage. Well-behaved dogs are welcome. The complimentary use of high-speed wireless broadband is included. Unlike many waterside Cornish towns, Flushing remains something of a secret to the majority of tourists - the village is much quieter in holiday season than towns such as Mevagissey, St Ives and Padstow. Because of this parking is generally not an issue, with plenty of spaces in the immediate vicinity and a small car park at the end of the street.
